Acid Bath - When the Kite string pops

It was released in 1994 and is their debut album.

They are one of the first bands to bring sludge metal to the world.

The cover caused issues because it used art from a serial killer. Pogo the clown, AKA Skull clown, was serial killer, John Wayne Gacy's alter ego.

As a defense, Rotten records President responded with, “It’s America, you should be able to do what you want.”

Their next album had artwork from Jack Kevorkian.

Apparently, he was a visionary and a little ahead of his time.

By 1999, sales were about 37k which wasn’t to bad for a band with no recognition, no marketing from an indy label, but has become an underground classic.

Cassie Eats Cockroaches contains samples from A Clockwork orange, and blue velvet.
